Rutter’s Employees Celebrate Record-Breaking Year

Employees donated $3,000 in toys and cash to local kids in need.

YORK, Pa. – Rutter’s corporate employees, store employees and retirees donated $3,000 in toys and cash to local kids, and recognized several exceptional employees at the company’s annual banquet, bringing the company’s record-breaking year to a close.

Each employee in attendance donated an unwrapped toy to the Mont Alto Fire Company and the York Salvation Army. The groups will give the toys to local children in need, and will use the cash proceeds to purchase more toys.

In addition to the toy drive, Rutter’s recognized the excellent work of all employees, especially those receiving employee of the year honors:

  • Store Manager of the Year: Bruce Martin, Store #9, Delta Rd. in Red Lion
  • Restaurant Manager of the Year: Courtney Anderson, Store #45 Pennsylvania Ave. in Stewartstown
  • Team Member of the Year: George Witter, Jr., Store #62 S. Richland Ave. in York
  • Corporate Making a Difference Award: Paul Sabold, a 36-year veteran of Rutter’s maintenance team
  • Rutter’s Dairy Employee of the Year: Aaron Smyser, a bottling operator for Rutter’s Dairy
