NACS Announces 5 New Team Members

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — NACS has added five new hires to its growing team.

Chris Wise is the new NACS research and education solutions coordinator.

In this newly created role, he will support the products and services developed by the Research and Education teams and work with NACS members to connect their needs with NACS capabilities.

Prior to joining NACS, Chris served at the Bank of NY Mellon on its global payments and treasury services team, where he held roles as training coordinator/sanctions operations support and as a team lead production coordinator. He earned a B.A. in history at Loyola University in Baltimore, where he also served as an advisor for the Loyola Maryland Writing Center.

Marly Perez joined NACS as its education production manager.

In this newly created position, she will work on NACS webinars, Convenience Summit Asia, NACS Show education sessions and production at other NACS events.

Prior to joining NACS, Marly spent six years at Team People, where she was involved in production management, speaker management and hybrid event experiences. She earned a B.S. in digital media and web technology from the University of Maryland and also holds a certification from the Professional Convention Management Association as a digital event strategist (DES).

Colleen Croarkin joined NACS as supplier relations specialist. 

In this position, she will focus on NACS Hunter Club benefit fulfillment, specialized event operations and logistics and customer support throughout the year for engaged NACS supplier members.

Prior to joining NACS, Colleen was a new business associate in operations at Creative Associates International Inc., where she was responsible for managing and supporting capture and proposal development for programs and oversaw teams responsible for proposal development. She earned a B.S. in business administration marketing from The Catholic University of America.

Lauren Shanesy joined NACS as a writer-editor.

In this position, she will assist with operations, strategy and content development for NACS’ signature print and digital publications that include NACS Magazine, NACS Daily and Fuels Market News Magazine.

Lauren has nine years of experience crafting content for print and online media sites. Prior to joining NACS, she was deputy managing editor for LoopNet, where she created and implemented an editorial strategy for the brand covering commercial real estate, architecture and design trends. She also has served in editorial positions for Builder and MFE magazines. She earned a B.A. in English and communications from Clemson University.

Gerson Andrade joined NACS as retail engagement manager.

In this newly created position, he will support the overall operations of the NACS Retail Engagement team.

Prior to joining NACS, Gerson was at 7-Eleven for nine years, most recently serving as district manager and overseeing 20 stores with over 300 employees. He also served as general manager at Advance Auto Parts/Carquest where he managed multi-unit stores.
