As part of a refined international event strategy, NACS is introducing a new global event to the Asian market: Convenience Summit – Asia. Taking place in Sapporo and Tokyo, Japan, the event brings the best of the NACS Global Forum and the NACS Insight Convenience Summit – Europe, featuring thought leadership, store tours and opportunities to build strategic relationships in the Asian market.
The 2017 NACS Convenience Summit – Asia will begin in Sapporo, the largest city on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. There, attendees will experience guided tours that give an inside look at how a leading Japanese convenience retailer – and NACS retail member since 1976 – Seicomart, successfully operates a vertically integrated organization from the farm to the stores. The tours will include a look at their agricultural business, manufacturing, logistics and retail stores.
Following Sapporo, the program will shift to explore the bustling market of Tokyo with a robust agenda featuring inspiring speakers, more store tours and thought-provoking discussions on critical topics such as foodservice, payment technology, and much more.
Attendees will benefit from:
- Powerful networking and collaboration with global retail leaders and C-Suite executives from Asia and around the world.
- Thought-provoking education including presentations from inspiring speakers, roundtable conversations with industry leaders and engaging group discussions on vital industry topics.
- Unique retail perspectives through case studies that give attendees an inside look at how some of the strongest retailers compete and succeed in the Japanese markets
- Local store tours at diverse retail formats that allow retailers to see what’s working in different markets so they can apply new concepts to their stores at home.
