Doug Reed Joins NACS as Vice President of Marketing

ALEXANDRIA, VA €" Doug Reed joined NACS on Feb. 8 as its vice president of marketing.

In this position, Reed will oversee the association's marketing department and its related functions.

Prior to joining NACS, Reed was the director of interactive technology at OTM Partners and, he was responsible for developing the plan, strategy and execution of the We Card retailer training program's transition to virtual learning. Reed also has retail small business experience, serving as owner/operator of the local, an Irvington, Va.-based store. Earlier in his career, Reed held positions in several organizations focusing on interactive training and also spent five years as a teacher in the Henrico County (Va.) Public Schools system.

Reed earned an M.Ed. in instructional technology from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in education from Southern Illinois University. He is the current president of the International Society for Performance Improvement, D.C. Chapter (ISPIDC), and the president-elect of the American Marketing Association, D.C. Chapter (AMADC).
