NACS Members Eligible for $2,000 Credit in Nielsen Syndicated Data Program

2/4/2009

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - NACS has announced a new NACS member benefit that allows NACS members to receive up to a $2,000 credit when they participate in The Nielsen Company€™s Syndicated Data Program.

The NACS/Nielsen Syndicated Data Program allows both retailers and suppliers to gain a deeper understanding of their competitive marketplace and position their products accordingly. Participating companies can request reports based on category, consumer purchase behavior, consumer demographics for the channel or TDLinx store information, among the many options available.

NACS Retail Member companies with fewer than 50 stores are eligible for a credit of $1,500 in the program. If the company also belongs to a state association it qualifies for an additional $500 credit. Retailers must scan at the point of purchase to participate in the program.

Supplier Member companies eligible for the $2,000 credit must have annual sales of less than $200 million.

"This agreement enhances NACS€™ offer in delivering actionable research to members," said NACS Vice Chairman of Research Greg Parker, president of The Parker Companies (Savannah, Georgia). "This program compliments NACS€™ state-of-the-art research portfolio for members that includes CSX, the largest purpose-built, online database of financial and operating data in the industry, and the NACS State of the Industry Report, the industry€™s premier benchmarking tool."

NACS Retail and Supplier Members interested in learning more about the program should click on "Member Services," or call (703) 684-3600.
