CRAWLEY, ENGLAND - Amazon€™s UK website has announced the launch of its online Grocery Store, which will begin offering a range of grocery products, including steaks, chicken and pork loin, MeatInfo.co.uk reports.

Amazon€™s grocery site will sell roughly 22,000 food and beverage items and offer free shipping to consumers, a convenience and cost savings that the online retailer hopes will earn loyalty among shoppers.

"Amazon.co.uk€™s aim is to be the place where customers can find and discover any product they want to buy online, and with the introduction of this new store there are thousands of household, niche, ethnic and international grocery items, all available at the click of a button," said James Leeson, Amazon€™s director of grocery for the UK. "With unlimited virtual shelf space, customers can choose from a wide variety of products, all of which benefit from free delivery. We will work tirelessly to increase the selection of grocery items available to be delivered directly to customers€™ doors."

Amazon€™s Free Super Saver Delivery applies to every product that it sells and ships to a UK address. It is also offering free one-day delivery as part of an annual £49 ($75 U.S.) membership fee.
