ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Whether it€™s women in leadership roles, multicultural representation or Generation X and Millennials working their way up the ranks, learning how best to lead your diverse staff can be priceless. The NACS Leadership Executive Program at Cornell University, which runs August 1-5, will equip retailers in multicultural and multigenerational management.
Marie Quintana, vice president of multicultural sales at PepsiCo, will help retailers navigate the sometimes touchy sea of a multicultural workforce. In Quintana€™s 12 years at PepsiCo, she served in IT, technology and sales positions. Currently, she also oversees diversity networks across divisions and geographies.
Quintana is extremely passionate about this subject and brings to the table her experiences as a Cuban-born woman, working mom, corporate VIP and frequent speaker. Marie will be discussing the topic "Leading a Multicultural Workforce" on August 4 during the program.
"One of the greatest challenges facing management today is the ability to manage multi-generations: Millennials, Gen X, Baby Boomers, and Matures" said Linda McKenna, co-founder of Convenience Store Coaches and frequent speaker at NACS events. With an in-depth look at the factors that influenced each generation including wars, economies and soccer moms, McKenna will show how each of these groups generally like to be treated and how best to get through to them to gain buy-in. Her presentation will take place on August 4.
