CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA - VPS Convenience Store Group, operator of Everyday Shops throughout Central Virginia, presented a $12,500 grant last week to the Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation as part of the BP Fueling Communities Program.
Fueling Communities provides grants to local organizations to support the communities in which they do business. The grantees are nominated by BP Branded Fuel Marketers.
As a BP fuel provider, Everyday Shops nominated the Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation, which serves its community by enhancing, maintaining and restoring personal health and well-being for all residents, regardless of ability to pay. This fulfills the mission of the grant by spreading charity and goodwill among neighborhoods in need.
"We are so pleased to be able to work with our fuel partner BP to provide this grant money to make a real difference in our local communities," said Jeff Turpin, chairman and CEO of VPS. "VPS Convenience Store Group has a long history of supporting charitable organizationsWe are very proud to help them with their efforts as they touch so many lives in the community."
