HOUSTON, TX - SaveOnBrew.com is looking for beer prices. Specifically, if you sell beer in the United States, in exchange for details about your selection and prices, they will include mention of your store on its website that offers comparative local beer shopping.
Self-billed as "like Google for beer prices" and "the world€™s only beer price search engine," SaveOnBrew averages 100,000 page views per month, mostly for thirsty beer drinkers who are looking for value.
"What we€™re finding is that convenience isn€™t the only factor driving beer sales these days," said SaveOnBrew co-founder Mark Davidson. "Price is also a growing concern, especially in this sluggish economy. We also find that there are a lot of smaller local businesses and breweries that aren€™t getting enough advertising exposure in their markets. We wanted to find a way to bridge the gap."
Consumers enter their zip code on the SaveOnBrew site to receive a listing of low beer prices and sales in their area. Listings can be filtered by brand, store, type, container type, and quantity, and access is available on mobile phones, too.
"The site has gained a quick surge in popularity, with over 100,000 page views per month, making it a tremendous resource for small retailers, brewers, and sellers who are looking for new ways to reach larger markets," the company said, urging retailers to obtain a free listing by contacting the site owners directly.
"Hey, if you run a one-stop-party-shop that sells beer, cigarettes, hair weaves and contraceptives, we want you to contact us," said site cofounder, Greg Thibodeaux. "If you€™re a craft brew company who sells to the public, we want your prices. Whether beer is your main source of revenue or you just have a couple cases in back, we want to be your megaphone to reach the masses."
