FRAMINGHAM, MA - Gulf Oil LP announced yesterday a pink ribbon tweak to its iconic orange disk logo, to be displayed in six Major League Baseball parks as part of its support for breast cancer research and awareness.
The design modification underscores Gulf€™s commitment to fight breast cancer and reinforces the Gulf Oil Giving Foundation€™s ongoing efforts to make a difference in the lives of millions of people.
During May, the Gulf logo will be wrapped with a pink ribbon and on display at the Atlanta Braves€™ Turner Field, Baltimore Orioles€™ Camden Yards, Boston Red Sox€™s Fenway Park, Philadelphia Phillies€™ Citizens Bank Park, St. Louis Cardinals€™ Busch Stadium and Texas Rangers€™ Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
"We are proud to deepen our relationship as strong supporters of breast cancer research and awareness," said Gulf Senior Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Rick Dery. "This month, as we celebrate Mother€™s Day, is a perfect time to add the highly recognized pink ribbon to our logo. We are pleased to be making a financial commitment through our national foundation to a cause that continues to impact the lives of so many families."
Gulf also announced that it would donate 400 tickets to Red Sox home games this month to the American Cancer Society€™s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign and to its Hope Lodge Center in Boston, a facility that serves as a "home away from home" for patients and their caregivers traveling more than 40 miles to outpatient treatments.
The Gulf Oil Giving Foundation is a charitable organization that supports breast cancer research and awareness programs.
