LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Thorntons announced a new promotion geared toward flex-fuel vehicle drivers: the Thorntons Flex-Fuel Earth Day promotion.
From April 2 to April 30, customers who enter the contest at Thorntons€™ website have a chance to win free flex-fuel for a year. Thorntons operates 63 locations in its five-state operating area of Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee that offers E85 flex fuel.
The promotion coincides with Earth Day on Sunday, April 22. Since 2006, Thorntons has been offering E85, a fuel mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% petroleum. The promotion is supported and sponsored by the Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky Corn Growers Associations.
