Let's face it - it's tough to keep a great employer-employee relationship with a teenager that you would rather put over your knee and spank. How can you properly manage relationships with Gen Y staffers that think they deserve a standing ovation and a 20% bonus just for showing up to work on time? We are going to figure this one out in what can only be described as a triage session to stop the bleeding. We will share stories and analyze attendee war stories.
In this first of its kind session, we will freely discuss some of the issues that each of you face, some of the solutions that have worked in the past, and those supposed solutions that have only made the problem worse.
Erik Hauser, wearer of many hats, has addressed this issue with both large and small companies and will lead the session. The technical term for this process is internal cultural branding - but really, it's about putting Gen Y in check to let them know that this is the real world - one where we don't hand out 9th place ribbons or put up with overestimation of one's own self importance.
