Matthew Paduano, Vice President for Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppe, Inc., headquartered in Canastota, New York, joined the company the day after Christmas in 1995.  Matthew was hired as a buyer and then promoted to Director of Purchasing and eventually Vice President of Information.  He has a BS Degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Oswego, where he graduated in 1987.  Matthew began his career in accounting at Byrne Dairy, Inc., a dairy processor with 50 convenience stores headquartered in Syracuse, New York.  During his seven and a half years at Byrne Dairy, he held several accounting positions and eventually becoming the buyer for their retail distribution center as well as DSD Suppliers. 

In addition to being the buyer at Nice N Easy, Matthew spearheaded Nice N Easy’s development of their Pricebook Project and eventually the implementation of scanning in their corporate stores.  At Nice N Easy, Matthew was one of the first adopters of the NACS Category Definitions.  He is a 2004 graduate of the NACS Executive Leadership Program and also a member of NACSTECH’s Planning Committee as well as a member of Convenience Store News Editorial Advisory Board.

Matthew lives with his wife, Maureen, and teenage children, Nicole, Alyssa, and Anthony, in Bridgeport, New York.
