Nick A. Spann received his Associates Degree in Business Management from Guilford Technical College in Jamestown, NC in 1996; in 2001 he completed his Information Technology studies at ECPI College of Technology were he graduated with Honors.
From 2000-2001 he worked as an IT Associate at ECPI College of Technology in Greensboro, NC; from 2001 to 2003 he was the IT Manager for Jackson Hewitt Tax Services for the Eastern Region out of Greensboro, NC.
In 2003 he started his present career with WilcoHess LLC, in Winston Salem, NC as a Systems Engineer, hired to develop a hardware program to bring all hardware repair and replacements in house. In 2006 he was promoted to Senior Systems Engineer to lead WilcoHess’s engineering group. From 2006 to 2009 his team converted 365 sites from frame_Relay to MPLS, upgraded the WAN from 56k to T1 circuits, installed an OC-48 Fiber Ring for communication redundancy, implemented VMware as a DR solution and revamped network and physical security, which enabled WilcoHess to obtain its Tier 1 PCI Report on Compliance.
In 2007 he was awarded the Wilco Presidential Award for his Excellence and Dedication to the company. In 2010 the Information Systems Department was also awarded the Wilco Presidential Award for their Excellence and Dedication under his current leadership roles as Director of Information Systems and Security Officer.
Nick has also acquired his A+, Net+, CNA, CCNA, MCP along with other technical and professional certifications.
