In a career that has spanned designing vehicles at General Motors to shaping the message for DC Fast Charge manufacturer Aker Wade, Owen Resh has had the rare privilege of seeing vehicle and infrastructure electrification from both sides.  As the Chevrolet Volt's Design Strategist, Owen played a key role in developing the vehicle that would transform GM from a so-called technology "laggard" to a global leader.  In his role, Owen spearheaded efforts to connect end product execution with strategic messaging, systems efficiency and intellectual property positions, while optimizing quality, range, and external communications. The result is a car that continues to excite millions about the potential of electric vehicles, and position GM as a leader in advanced technology.

Owen previously served at Menlo Park, Calif.-based Design Think Research where he led the effort to identify millions in operational savings for several manufacturers, and Industrial Art Services (IAS), a company he co-founded. IAS united design and new product development technologies to quickly and interactively test concepts for firms such as Steelcase, Discovery Channel and Volvo Trucks North America.

Owen graduated magna cum laude from Pratt Institute.
