Ed Grondahl joined Tidel as EVP of Sales & Marketing in 2006. Ed had a 30 year career at NCR Corporation where he ended his career as Vice President of the Global PC Division. After NCR, Ed joined ATI Technologies in Toronto, Canada as the Chief Marketing Officer. During his 3 years with ATI the company went public, grew 500% in revenues and profits and became the number one supplier of graphics chips and boards for the computer industry. Ed moved back to the USA with Celestica and took on the challenge of becoming the VP/GM of the Global Dell Business Unit in Austin, Tx. During his tenure he formed a team that grew to over 40 members in sales, marketing, engineering, product management and operations. Starting from ground zero the team represented over $1B in new board level EMS revenue in Server, PC, Graphics and supporting peripherals. Ed then took Celestica in another new direction and led the efforts of moving Celestica into the ODM arena in the new Computer Peripherals Division. He helped Celestica into other ODM divisions in Servers and other business segments. At Tidel Engineering, Ed is responsible for global sales and marketing, as well as all phases of business development. Ed is leading Tidel into becoming the defacto standard for Cash Management Solutions and assisting the industry in defining the "Retail Store Network of the Future" in terms of eliminating employee cash theft and by integrating Windows-based intelligent safe solutions with every datacenter variety and every brand of POS system.
