Dave Faoro is Vice President of Product Security and Systems Architecture, with responsibility for the delivery of next generation security architectures and new technologies to all product platform development organizations in VeriFone. In this role, he also manages VeriFone intellectual property and patents, as well as world wide product security certifications.
Mr. Faoro is a 20 year veteran of the electronic payments industry. In his 15 years
with VeriFone, he has held various management positions in research and development and delivered products into every market, including customer facing multi-lane, PINpads, desktop, and wireless systems.
He represents VeriFone on the ANSI X9F – Data and Information Security standards committee.
Prior to joining VeriFone, he was a principal software engineer at ICOT Corp. developing airline reservation systems and point of sale systems. Previously, Mr. Faoro was a partner in a software company developing consumer software.
Mr. Faoro has a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology with graduate work in Aquatic Biology from California State University Fresno and Moss Landing Marine Laboratory.
Education: Master’s of Science degree in Software Engineering from National University in California.
