Usi Berry has been a member of the South Carolina Education Lottery’s team since its inception in 2001. As the Manager of Key Accounts in the Sales and Retailer Relations Department, she oversees the development and maintenance of corporate retailers to enhance revenue opportunities for the larger chain stores and SCEL.
Currently Usi serves on national association subcommittees for both the National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) and the Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards (PCATS). Her service on these subcommittees is mutually beneficial and helps to keep SCEL on the “cutting edge” among national lotteries through the development of standard lottery procedures and policies. She also stays abreast regarding the concerns of local retailers through committee work with the South Carolina Association of Convenience Stores (SCACS).
Usi is also a member of SCEL’s Draw-Talent group and can be seen drawing nightly numbers frequently on local television stations.
Prior to coming to SCEL, Usi was an Economic/Community Development Manager with the South Carolina Department of Commerce. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Coastal Carolina University and a master’s degree from Webster University.
Although she is originally from Brooklyn, NY, Usi has a natural affinity to South Carolina’s coastal region. She is most proud of her three children: twin sons who are graduates of The Citadel and the College of Charleston, and a daughter who is a junior at Coastal Carolina University.
