NACStech's educational sessions are designed with you in mind. They are developed by retailers and suppliers who are devoted to improving the industry and to answering the pressing questions facing our industry.

Opening General Session

Tuesday, May 22 | 11:00 am-12:15 pm
Join us as Paul Ollinger, 15-year veteran of the online world, presents the lessons he learned while working at Facebook. Walk away from this general session understanding how Facebook’s success was the result of a bold, new vision, that was supported by a passionate staff which resulted in a great payoff.

Ollinger is an Atlanta-based investor and advisor to start-ups in the social media space. After several years at Yahoo!, he joined Facebook in 2007 as an early member of the sales team, where he quickly assumed management positions and served as the West Coast vice president of sales for two years before leaving to pursue private ventures in 2011.

Michael Rogers is a technology pioneer, novelist and journalist whose consultancy, PRACTICAL FUTURIST, helps businesses and organizations worldwide think about the future. In recent years he has worked with companies ranging from FedEx, Boeing and Time-Life to Prudential, Dow Corning, GE and Genentech.

He is completing a two-year tenure as futurist-in-residence for The New York Times and also writes the Practical Futurist column for MSNBC. For ten years he was vice president of The Washington Post Company's new media division, guiding both the newspaper and Newsweek into the new century, as well as serving as editor and general manager of Newsweek.com.
