In an effort to further develop a strong educational offering at the NACS Show 2009, the Committee, led by Chairman Dave Carpenter, President of J.D. Carpenter Companies, Inc. has identififed ten tracks that correspond with attendee job responsibility areas. Each track is overseen by a retailer with expertise in that area. Track Leaders are responsible for the educational content for each workshop within their track, including, but not limited to: workshop topics, facilitators, speakers, and content.

Track Leader: Ieva Grimm, Research & Business Intelligence, Sheetz, Inc.
Ieva Grimm leads the research and business intelligence efforts at Sheetz, Inc. convenience store chain. Sheetz currently operates more than 351 stores in six states---Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina---and employs roughly 11,000 people. The privately held company with 2007 revenue exceeding $3.9 billion.

Ieva started her employment at Sheetz, Inc. in 2001, when the company recruited her to provide R&D leadership for its Creation & Reinvention initiative, focused on designing “the business that will put Sheetz as we know it today out of business”. In her current role, Ieva is responsible for leading all business intelligence initiatives, including tactical research to support various Sheetz product and service categories, and strategic intelligence to aid in on-going development of the company’s strategic direction. Her team is influential in advancing customer focus among the 700 management team members and more than 11,000 store employees.
