In an effort to further develop a strong educational offering at the NACS Show 2010, the Committee, led by Chairman Dave Carpenter, President of J.D. Carpenter Companies, Inc. has identified eleven tracks that correspond with attendee interest areas. Each track is overseen by a retailer with expertise in that area. Track Leaders are responsible for the educational content for each workshop within their track, including, but not limited to: workshop topics, facilitators, speakers, and content. President of the International Division
Strasburger Enterprises, Inc.
Roy Strasburger is currently the President of the International Division of Strasburger Enterprises, Inc., (“SEI”) a convenience store operations and consulting company based in Temple, Texas, USA. In this capacity, he is responsible for the development and operations of SEI’s global retail business. Strasburger Enterprises, Inc. owns and operates convenience stores in Texas and has been involved with over 10,000 convenience stores in 35 countries through the licensing of its systems and management of sites. SEI also does a large amount of consulting work for the retail industry in over fifty countries. Roy is currently a member of the NACS International Committee, has served on the NACS Board of Directors, and is a past member of the Executive Committee as the Vice Chairman for Industry Relations.
Roy attended Baylor University, in Waco, Texas, graduating with degrees in Marketing and Computer Information Systems. He obtained his JD degree from Baylor University Law School in 1984 and joined a British law firm based in the Caribbean. After moving to London, England, where he started a magazine publication company, Roy returned to the US to join SEI as General Counsel. He later assumed the position of President of SEI’s fuel division and took the position of President, International Division in 1994. In 2009 Roy added the responsibilities of the development and operations of the company’s global convenience retailing business.
