Steve Wheeless is a labor law partner in the Phoenix office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with honors and was an F-16 Flight Instructor serving both the United States and Royal Danish Air Forces before graduating with highest honors from the George Washington University National Law Center. He represents clients across the country in all aspects of labor relations involving union avoidance planning, counseling, training, and has managed and consulted on scores of union organizing campaigns nationwide in numerous industries. Steve has served as lead trial counsel in defense of over 500 separate election objection and unfair labor practice allegations before the NLRB and has been lead appellate counsel in the federal courts on related labor issues.
