Neil Trautwein is the National Retail Federation’s health care lobbyist and has primary responsibility for health care and employee benefits policy. Trautwein joined the NRF in April 2006.
Prior to joining the NRF, Trautwein lobbied for the National Association of Manufacturers from 1998-2006, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 1995-1998, and the National Association of Health Underwriters from 1991-1995. He also served as legislative assistant to Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) from 1985-1991.
Trautwein received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Louisville in 1984 and his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University’s National Law Center in 1987.
