Born on February 14, 1951, Steve is a lifelong resident of Texas.  He attended East Texas State University now known as Texas A&M- Commerce and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era.

Steve began his career with Grocery Supply Company in 1975. He has held several sales and management positions during his 36 years. Currently, Steve is Corporate Vice President, Sales & Marketing, GSC Enterprises, Inc.  GSC Enterprises, Inc is a leading full-service distributor of grocery and convenience products to a diverse customer base within Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.  GSC is comprised of two business segments; Grocery Supply Company and Fidelity Express Money Order Company.

Steve is married to Joy for 35 years and has two daughters, a son, and three grandchildren. He is an active member of St. James Catholic Church and has chaired and served on various budget and charitable committees.  He has served as Co-Chairman of the Texas Association of Wholesale Distributors, President of the Sulphur Springs Lions Club, Chairman and President of the Hopkins County United Way.  He is Past Chairman of the Southern Association of Wholesale Distributors, Past Chairman of St. James Pastoral Council, and Past Chairman of the AWMA (American Wholesale Marketers Association).
