Robert Perkins joined Rutter’s in September of 2007. He has 25 years of experience in the convenience retail industry, with a proven track record of achieving results in marketing, merchandising, sales, business development and operations. Robert has experienced many facets of the c-store industry and had prior experience in both large corporate cultures along with mid to small private companies. His key focus has been with driving growth in targeted markets through implementation of key projects and new marketing initiatives. Prior to Rutter’s, Robert was a Principal Consultant with Impact 21 Group, LLC.
Before Impact 21 Group, Robert was Director of Marketing for Irving Oil Corporation. During his six-year tenure at Irving Oil, Robert directed their strategic initiative for the new Bluecanoe brand of convenience stores, including a significant effort and investment in new food service concepts offering and distribution networks. While at Irving, Robert also held positions as Retail Marketing Manager, Operations Manager and Senior Category Manager. Robert began his career at Southland Corporation (7-Eleven), where he spent 17 years with the company. He held numerous roles that included store manager and senior field consultant and progressed through the ranks in various operations, merchandising, marketing and category management positions. He left as Market Manager for the Fairfax Market in Northern Virginia.
