Tara Paster, President of Paster Training, Inc., is driving the largest private training company dedicated to educating, leading, and impacting the hospitality industry in food safety and responsible alcohol training, raising the bar in setting a high standard of excellence for operations, employees, and processes. Tara is shaping the industry and her top priority is food and alcohol safety education.
Tara started her career path with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Food Service Management. With more than 24 years of food industry experience, Tara’s career history includes supervising five dining operations with the Marriott Corporation; Regional Training Consultant for 134 restaurants in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia; General Manager and District Manager for eight high-volume restaurants in North Carolina; Director of Marketing for H.T. Rose Enterprises, Inc. in New Jersey and Pennsylvania; and Director of Operations for Lake Norman Brewing Company in North Carolina. Tara is highly skilled and focused on continuing education, achieving instructor status as a Certified Professional in Food Safety (CP-FS) and credentialed as a Food Management Professional (FMP), a Master HACCP trainer, and a Master TIPS® Alcohol trainer. In addition, she is a certified instructor with the National Restaurant Association for the ServSafe® Food Safety Certification Course, and approved by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a RAMP Server Trainer and is widely recognized for her achievements.
Tara’s passion for the industry has made Paster Training the foremost authority in the food safety and training industry. Tara is nationally and regionally recognized for her efforts and leadership in safety education and the recipient of the 2002 Hospitality and Resource Award in Restaurant Operations. Tara received honorable mentions for her work with responsible alcohol safety training by: Edward G. Rendell, Governor of Pennsylvania; former United States Senator, Rick Santorum; Robert P. Casey, United States Senate; and Arlen Specter, United States Senate.
A published author, Tara debuted in 2007 with the industry’s first comprehensive retail and international HACCP training program. Tara continues to fill a need in the industry by enhancing training programs. This allows Tara to continue to apply world-class training coupled with highly sought after consulting experience.
