Richard Oneslager
President
Balmar Petroleum

Richard Oneslager started Balmar Management in 1995, and became a wholesale distributor for Conoco and began to develop gas/convenience stores in the front range of Colorado. Balmar, through its retail company First Hand Management, currently operates 40 convenience stores in Denver, Colo., and Portland, Ore. In addition, Oneslager is a principal in two restaurant ventures that are developing Qdoba Mexican Grills in Las Vegas, and Noodles & Company in Indianapolis.

Oneslager has spent most of his life in the gasoline, service station and convenience store business. From 1987 to 1995 he managed the family business. Under his direction these facilities received numerous awards, including "Best of Denver" and "Best Customer Service in the U.S," bestowed by Amoco in 1993. Oneslager is active within the community, having served as chairman of the Amoco Children's Hospital Golf Tournament and as an alumnus of both the Denver Community Leadership Forum and the Republican Leadership Program. He is currently a trustee for Warren Village, a non-profit welfare-to-work program for single-parent families. He received his bachelor of arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
