Jeff is President of Miller Oil Co. Inc., a Norfolk, Va. based petroleum distribution and convenience store retailer. The Company was founded in 1977 and is made up of Miller’s Neighborhood Markets, Miller’s Home Heating Oil, Miller’s Heating and Air-Conditioning and Miller’s Commercial Fuels. Miller Oil Co. currently operates 36 convenience stores as well as supplying close to 100 independent Gasoline retailers.
Jeff entered the family business in 1981 after working for 5 years in the restaurant business in Washington D.C. At Miller Oil he worked in various capacities in each division ultimately leading up to his present position of President.
In 2000, Jeff served on the first NACS Coca-Cola Research Council. In 2004, Jeff was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Convenience Stores. He has served on the Executive Committee as Vice Chairman of Member Services; Vice Chairman of NACSPAC, member of the Convention Committee and is currently Treasurer.
Jeff Miller is very active in his community. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of Towne Bank Norfolk. He is also, member of the Board of Directors of the Norfolk YMCA and member of the Norfolk Public Arts Commission. He is past President of the Norfolk D’Art Center, past chairman of Hope House Foundation and past President of Retail Alliance. Jeff was recognized with an Ali Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Cultural Life of Greater Hampton Roads in 2001 and received the Jefferson Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service to the Hampton Roads Community in 2002. Jeff also serves on the board of the Miller Oil Foundation which supports community based initiatives in the areas served by Miller Oil Company.
Jeff graduated from American University in Washington D. C. in 1978 with degrees in International Relations and Economics.
He is married to Connie and has three children, Lindsay, Matthew and Alanna and a son-in law to be, Mark Pryor.
