Tom Kloza is Chief Oil Analyst with Oil Price Information Service and was among the founders of OPIS some 28 years ago. He is regularly cited for his no-nonsense, non-partisan comments on oil and gasoline by all of the major U.S. newspapers including the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
Tom has commented specifically on oil prices for the BBC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, and ABC. He is also a frequent guest lecturer on fuel price economics at a number of colleges and universities as well as for key petroleum associations. He serves on the advisory board of Turner Mason & Co., the Dallas-based consultants on worldwide refining.
Tom has a degree in English and has worked with the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. He has also appeared on CNBC, Nightline, the CBS Morning Show, The Today Show, Nightline, and Good Morning America.
Tom lives in Manasquan, New Jersey with his wife Diana, two teenage daughters, and dog. His interests include baseball, golf, saltwater fishing, anthropology and physics.
