Mr. Marinas is a company founder and current managing member of JMM Management Group, LLC. JMM is a management consulting company providing comprehensive regulatory/ environmental compliance and information technology (IT) services. JMM provides clients with customized environmental asset management and information solutions that consolidate and streamline regulatory compliance and asset management Functions. JMM’s services reduce the complexity and liability associated with all aspects of environmental compliance management.
Mr. Marinas is responsible for all company operations and oversight for the Illinois and California office. Mr. Marinas has over 18 years of storage tank regulatory management, operational compliance management, information management and health and safety representation. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis on environmental management) from the University of California-Berkley and is Licensed as a Professional Engineer in, IL, TX, FL & GA. Mr. Marinas previously served with BP Products North America Inc., as a Regulatory Compliance Advisor and an Environmental Manager. These duties included oversight of bp’s central business units health and safety department as an environmental manager, prevention/assurance team lead and environmental team lead for bp’s East of the Rockies operations; Tanknology as Vice-President of Corporate Services, Senior Project Manager and Unit Manager; Earl Sheib, Inc. as a health and safety assistant; Chevron Oil Company (during undergraduate studies) as an intern for Chevron’s environmental health and safety department; United States Naval Petty Officer 3rd Class as a Weapons Specialist During Operation Desert Storm. Mr. Marinas enlisted in the U.S. Navy through a Temporary Active Reserve (TAR) Program designed to provide financial aid to undergraduate students while taking an active role in defending America’s freedom. Mr. Marinas was honorably discharged with several naval citations and served in active reserves for the remainder of his military tenure.
