Mr. James W. Huguelet is a Payment Architect with the W. Capra Consulting Group and is President of The Huguelet Group LLC.  He works with companies to assess the regulatory compliance of their payment systems, identify the strategic objectives that need to be accomplished, and then implement effective mitigation programs.  Most recently, Mr. Huguelet was project manager on a national POS upgrade initiative to support the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance of a major oil company’s branded retail sites.  His insights on PCI compliance have appeared numerous times in national publications such as Computerworld, NACS Magazine, & Convenience Store News and he has spoken on PCI at conferences such as NACStech, the PCATS Annual Conference, and the VeriFone Retail Payments Conference and VeriFone Customer Forum.

Prior to his work with the W. Capra Consulting Group and The Huguelet Group LLC, Mr. Huguelet was the Chief Information Officer of Aquascape, Inc., the largest manufacturer and distributor of products used in the construction of residential water gardens and water features in North America.  Prior to joining Aquascape, James held a variety of director-level positions in sales, product development, and consulting management at IntegrationWare (later Practicity), a venture capital-backed software product and consulting company whose clients included Abbott Laboratories, GE Capital, McDonald’s Corporation, and the Walgreen Company.

Mr. Huguelet received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP).
