Mike is responsible for the design and delivery of custom executive education programs for both domestic and international clients. Mr. Hostetler has designed programs for a variety of organizations including: Siemens, Lucky Goldstar, Salomon Smith Barney, Sara Lee, Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, United News & Media, plc, Exxon Mobil, EDS, Eli Lilly, Glaxo/Smith Klein, Hyundai, NRG Energy, Pfizer, Nypro, Areva, and the Asian Development Bank. Mr. Hostetler also oversaw the development and launch of the Johnson School’s EMBA program and lead the development of a new distance learning Boardroom EMBA program. He also teaches in both the MBA and EMBA programs. Mr. Hostetler's main interests in research and teaching are strategy, decision-making, leadership, high performance teams and change management. Prior to joining Cornell University, he was assistant dean for executive education at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. Mr. Hostetler's prior experiences also include positions with St. Mary's Medical Center, the University of Tennessee, and Governor of Kentucky.
Mr. Hostetler holds a B.A. from Augustana College and an M.P.H. from the University of Tennessee. Mr. Hostetler is active in the development of global executive education through the University Consortium for Executive Education (UNICON) and the International Consortium for Executive Development Research (ICEDR). He is an emeritus trustee of UNICON.
