For more than 30 years, Richard has specialized in retail management with seven of those years being convenience store experience. At Kum & Go, L.C., (the fifth largest privately held, company-operated convenience store chain in the United States), Richard oversees several of the cold vault categories which include beer, wine, spirits, carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, sports drinks, bottled water, juice, tea, and coffee drinks. He also determines the strategy for the all those categories by collaborating with several vender partners to ensure we provide Kum & Go customers with the ideal experience.

A successful businessman, Richard began his career in the grocery industry where he gained experience with Nash Finch. At Nash Finch, he held many leadership positions including Department Manager, Overnight Shift Manager, and Assistant Manager for four locations. He then advanced to the Baker Manager for the central operation. Following that, he became the Pricing Manager then the Store Director of four locations. In 2005, Richard joined the Kum & Go team as a General Manager before advancing to District Supervisor. After a few years in that position, he was promoted to his current position, Category Manager of Packaged Beverages.

A dedicated community leader, Richard is active in his community through numerous activities. Richard’s community involvement includes service on the Chamber Board and is a member of the Lions Club and Moose Lodge. He has been involved in coaching little league baseball and softball, soccer, and AAU basketball.

A Mt. Saint Clair College graduate, Richard received an Associate of Arts in Business.
