Walt Gavin has over 30 years of hands-on experience in the petroleum industry. At Exxon, he worked a number of line, staff, and management jobs in engineering, operations, sales, marketing, distribution, supply, and public affairs. At Gilbarco, he started and managed the marketing department, spearheaded product-development initiatives, and led Gilbarco’s sales and service efforts. Walt’s empowered teams have enjoyed considerable success – including significant and sustained market-share growth; the introduction of landmark new products; and the development of the petroleum-equipment industry’s premier distributor network.

After retiring as Gilbarco’s sales vp, he launched his own company, Leadership i2i -- whose mission is to help develop leaders and teamwork. Saddled with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Construction and Management, Walt describes himself as a “recovering engineer.” He is characterized by a colleague as having “a German mind, an Irish heart, and a Yiddish sense of humor.”
