David Fialkov is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Regulatory & Industry Affairs Department.
In the Regulatory Department, Mr. Fialkov works primarily with the Government Affairs & Public Policy practice group, where he advises clients on legislative, regulatory, and political issues. His practice involves monitoring and analyzing legislation and developing strategies to advance client needs in Congress. He also advocates for clients in executive branch agencies, including the Department of Justice, Food and Drug Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and the Securities and Exchange Commission. His administrative work also includes helping clients receive federal funding through grants and loan guarantees offered by agencies such as the Department of Energy and the Department of Agriculture. Mr. Fialkov also works with the Energy practice group, where he focuses on Electric Power matters.
During law school, Mr. Fialkov worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Jonathan Turley. Prior to law school, he worked as an intern in Wolf Blitzer’s office at CNN.
