Kit is the Owner of Dietz Consulting LLC. Dietz Consulting focuses exclusively on the tobacco and convenience industry supply channel. Kit is responsible for directing and managing the firm’s work in enhancing convenience channel performance, measuring customer profitability, developing new pricing approaches, optimizing category performance and is the lead consultant to the AWMA’s Warehouse-Delivered Snacks Committee.
His broad-based experience includes providing the leadership/vision for the convenience industry’s largest supply chain optimization project, C/SCAPE, (sponsored by NACS, AWMA, and major manufacturers across a broad range of categories), which defined the cost to handle products at item level from the distributor to the consumer. He also developed the CIGNALS model and client services, which analyze cigarette shipment to retail data and helps distributors manage their performance of cigarette manufacturer wholesale incentive programs.
Prior to creation of Dietz Consulting, Kit served as Senior Vice President of Willard Bishop Consulting in Barrington, Illinois, as Chairman at Tripifoods in Buffalo, New York, and held the office of President of L&L Jiroch Distributing, J.F. Walker Company, and United Wholesale, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has also served on the AWMA Board and is past chairman of the
Distributor Education Foundation.
Kit’s industry studies have been published in a number of industry trade publications and he speaks regularly at national convenience industry events.
