Joe has worked in the Coca-Cola system for 31 years, beginning in 1978 with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Cincinnati. For the next five years he held various positions in purchasing and sales, while attending The University of Cincinnati Evening College, obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1982.

In 1983, he joined Coca-Cola North America to become a National Account Executive, working in the Boston office, calling on national accounts headquartered in New England.

In 1985, Joe was promoted to Senior National Account Executive for Convenience Stores, working in the Atlanta headquarters, until being named Director, Non-Food Sales, in 1986.  In 1989 he became Director, Supermarket Chains, and in November of 1997 he assumed his present position of Vice President, Retail Industry Affairs.

He graduated from the Emory Executive MBA program in 1993.

Joe is a member of the FMI Advisory Council, the NACS Supplier Board, the GMA Industry Affairs Council, and the RILA Industry Advisory Council.

He and his wife, Patty, have three children:  Cristy, Carrie, and Joe Jr., one grandson, Garrett and a granddaughter, Chandler.  His interests include golf, reading, and University of Georgia football.
