Las Vegas – Important Show Rules and Regulations

Each year the NACS Show rotates to a new host city with different rules and restrictions. Please note the following rules that are specific to the Las Vegas Convention Center and this year’s NACS Show.

Hand Washing and Sanitizing Stations
As mandated by the Southern Nevada Health District, if any food handling (such as cutting, portioning, or mixing) is done at individual booths, a hand-washing station plus a sanitizing station must be set up at all times. However, if the product at a booth is pre-packaged, and not a potentially hazardous food (such as bottled water or supplements), the hand-washing and sanitizing stations are not required. These stations can be purchased through ARAMARK for a nominal fee, or can be supplied by the exhibiting company as long as the disposable station contains the minimum requirements. Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Requirements
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority requires a $250 annual fee from all Independent Service Contractors providing a service at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More details.

Multi-Story Exhibits – State of Nevada Certified Structural Plans Required
Per the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Safety Department, all multi-story exhibits are required to have blueprints stamped by a State of Nevada certified structural engineer. Approved plans will be requested onsite during move-in. Any questions should be directed to the LVCC Safety Department at (702) 892-7633.

Halogen Lamp Restriction
The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has experienced several fire safety incidents arising from the use of stem- and track mounted halogen light fixtures attached to exhibit booths where the fixtures utilized linear halogen bulbs. Typically, these hazards arose from misuse and poor maintenance practices rather than from any deficiency in the design of the fixture or the halogen bulb it contains.
