NACS Card Processing Program (CPP) Details
The NACS Card Processing Program is designed to reduce card processing fees for convenience store and petroleum marketers.

Retailers who enroll in this program should receive reduced fees because of the processing efficiencies and the aggregation of their transactions with NACS members and others in the industry.

Who should care?

  • Unbranded store owners and operators.
  • C-stores paying a markup beyond real interchange

Why should you care?

  • Card payments in convenience stores have grown from 21% of transactions in 1995 to 49% in 2008.
  • It cost convenience stores $8.4 billion (nationwide) to accept cards in 2008.
  • Increased card use for small transactions is eroding profits.

What will the NACS Program cost me?

  • Just Visa/MasterCard Interchange at pass-through and 3.9ยข for all transactions for NACS members!
  • No percentage rates, no fee-padding or hidden charges!
  • Standalone transactions are supported.

Other Program Pricing Notes:

  • Accepted card types include - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner's, Online Debit, Voyager, Wright Express
  • Chargeback & Retrieval - $5
  • ACH Reject - $15, Debit Adjustment - $7.50 (both very rare)
  • On-line reporting, additional hardware available for purchase (or lease of equipment)
  • 3 year Card Processing Program agreement with First Data, with 1-year renewals
