Robin Oxford Joins NACS as Director of Political Affairs

In this position, Oxford will be responsible for all elements of NACSPAC, the political action committee representing the convenience and fuels retailing industry, and will handle all day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives designed to maximize the NACSPAC’s effectiveness.

Most recently, Oxford worked six years at the National Association of Broadcasters, where she served as director of state associations and, more recently, manager of the association’s PAC. Prior to that, she served as assistant campaign manager for a mayoral candidate in Texas and as a government affairs assistant with the National Beer Wholesalers Association.

Oxford earned a B.A. from The University of Texas. She is a resident of Washington, D.C.

Founded in 1961 as the National Association of Convenience Stores, NACS is celebrating its 50th anniversary as the international association for convenience and fuel retailing. The U.S. convenience store industry, with more than 148,000 stores across the country, posted $682 billion in total sales in 2011, of which $487 billion were motor fuels sales. NACS has 2,100 retail and 1,600 supplier member companies, which do business in nearly 50 countries.
