ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Zaneta Purvis joined NACS today as an industry analyst.

In this position, Purvis will be a member of the NACS research team that is responsible for delivering industry metrics and insights via the NACS State of the Industry suite of products, as well as CSX, a wholly owned subsidiary of NACS.

Zaneta is a magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, earning a B.S. in finance and a B.A. in German. She also interned with the legal firm Fischer & Partner in Zurich, Switzerland.

Founded in 1961 as the National Association of Convenience Stores, NACS is celebrating its 50th anniversary as the international association for convenience and fuel retailing. The U.S. convenience store industry, with more than 148,000 stores across the country, posted $682 billion in total sales in 2011, of which $487 billion were motor fuels sales. NACS has 2,100 retail and 1,600 supplier member companies, which do business in nearly 50 countries.
