Security Expert Ira Winkler Announced as NACStech Speaker

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Security expert Ira Winkler has been added to the impressive roster of speakers at NACStech, which will take place May 18 to 20 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

Winkler, president of the Internet Security Advisors Group, will discuss how to protect a business – and not just its computers – from the threat posed by social engineering in his presentation, “What is Social Engineering and How Can it Hurt?” He is considered one of the world’s most influential security professionals, and has been dubbed a “modern-day James Bond” by the media for his exploits in espionage simulations, where he helps some of the world’s most technically savvy companies protect themselves from true hackers by breaking into their security systems. Winkler is the author of the books Spies Among Us and Zen and the Art of Information Security and has served as a columnist for ComputerWorld.com.

“Captology” expert BJ Fogg and “practical futurist” Michael Rogers had previously been announced as NACStech General Session speakers. Fogg will shed light on how computing products — from Web sites to mobile phone software — can change how people think and act. Rogers, a leading expert on the impact of technological change for business and society, will share his knowledge and insights as the Futurist-in-Residence for the New York Times Company.

NACStech will feature 24 workshops dedicated to critical industry topics including PCI and triple DES compliance, state-of-the-art loyalty programs and maximizing POS strategies. Complete workshop information can be found at www.nacstech.com.

Approximately 1,300 attendees and more than 100 exhibitors are expected at NACStech, which takes place May 18 to 20 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. Registration is now available online at www.nacstech.com. Attendees can obtain maximum savings by registering by March 20.
