Regina Sheehan Joins NACS as Meetings and Convention Manager
ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Regina Sheehan joined NACS on January 16 as its meetings and convention manager.

Sheehan has 13 years of work experience in the meetings and conventions industry. Most recently, she served as director of operations for NXTcomm LLC, which is owned and sponsored by USTelecom and the Telecommunications Industry Association. Sheehan also has served as associate director of meetings and conferences for the American Diabetes Association and manager of convention operations for the National Association of Broadcasters.

Sheehan earned a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts from Loyola College in Baltimore, Md., and is a Certified Meeting Professional. She and her husband are the parents of one daughter and reside in Reston, Va.

Founded in 1961 as the National Association of Convenience Stores, NACS is celebrating its 50th anniversary as the international association for convenience and fuel retailing. The U.S. convenience store industry, with more than 148,000 stores across the country, posted $682 billion in total sales in 2011, of which $487 billion were motor fuels sales. NACS has 2,100 retail and 1,600 supplier member companies, which do business in nearly 50 countries.
