‘Practical Futurist’ Michael Rogers Headlines NACStech

ALEXANDRIA, Va. –Michael Rogers, a leading expert on the impact of technological change for business and society, will share his knowledge and insights at this year’s NACStech, the premiere technology solutions event for the convenience and petroleum retailing industry.

Rogers is currently the Futurist-in-Residence for the New York Times Company and writes the popular “Practical Futurist” column at MSNBC.com, which reaches 22 million readers a month. He has served as Newsweek’s technology guru and as the vice president of The Washington Post Company’s new media division. As an interactive media pioneer, novelist and journalist, Rogers also has studied and written about all the key technologies driving this century and has interviewed or worked with major business figures worldwide.

“Michael Rogers’ insights are both forward-thinking and practical, and will challenge attendees to create new ways of doing business, something especially critical in today’s economic climate where consumers demand more for their dollar,” said Jenny Bullard, chief information officer for Flash Foods, and conference chair for NACStech.

Approximately 1,300 attendees and more than 100 exhibitors are expected at NACStech, which takes place May 18 to 20 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. Registration kicks off on January 19 at www.nacstech.com.

Rogers will deliver his presentation at the closing general session on May 20.
