Visitors to next month’s NACS show can maximise their attendance by taking part in the International Forum and a series of workshops.
The International Forum is a two-day event, which provides valuable networking opportunities with global retailers and suppliers.
It comprises a networking reception on the evening of 19 October, a networking breakfast and an educational programme on 20 October.
The theme for the education programme is "International Trends in a Changing Economy". It will explore how the fallout from the subprime mortgage market in the US has led to unstable markets, the global recession and declining stock market prices around the globe.
Delegates will walk away from this programme with ideas and solutions designed to help weather the economic storm, reports NACS.
Presenters at the Forum include Kevin Coupe, content guy, MorningNewsBeat.com; and Cari Guittard, executive director, Business for Diplomatic Action.
Guittard will share insights into current global engagement trends. She will provide practical takeaways on how executives and their companies can begin to develop a global mindset, as well as leverage their global imprint for public diplomacy efforts and, in effect, become ambassadors for their brands and their collective interests.
Joe Bona, CBX Consulting, will present the latest global brand and design trends in convenience retailing and Warren Wilmot, 7-Eleven Stores, will focus on the Australian convenience market.
In an effort to further develop a strong educational offering at the NACS Show 2009, the committee, led by chairman Dave Carpenter, president of JD Carpenter Companies, has identififed 10 tracks that correspond with attendee job responsibility areas.
