ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- The 19th edition of the NACS Fact Book CD-ROM, companion piece to this year’s NACS State of the Industry (SOI) report, is now available to NACS retail and supplier members.
The 2006 NACS Fact Book provides a detailed statistical account of industry data over the past several years--or in some cases, decades--as well as a historical recap of the industry and key definitions and events that have shaped it.
Based on over 30 years of data from NACS SOI reports, the 2006 Fact Book CD-ROM includes a chapter on the history of the convenience store industry. The latest edition of the Fact Book provides new data on the industry, but also includes some going back as far as the 1950s. The CD-ROM also includes a chapter on the history of the convenience store industry detailing its growth from its founding in 1927.
“This publication provides the most historical and comprehensive data of its kind, representing the dynamic and growing convenience store industry,” Bob Swanson, NACS director of research and statistics, told NACS Daily.
The 2006 Fact Book highlights industry data from the 2006 NACS SOI and previous years and provides statistical breakouts including:
- Industry sales and profits
- Per-store sales, profits and expenses
- Motor fuel operations
- Category data
- Store level survey data
