YORK, Pa. – Two things happened for the Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, community thanks to Rutter’s Farm Stores: the town received a donation of $3,000 for three local organizations and the community celebrated the grand opening of a new Rutter’s convenience store.
According to a press release, Rutter’s Farm Stores has contributed $3,000 to three community organizations in Shippensburg, where the company’s newest convenience store opened on September 1.
During a ribbon cutting and check presentation event on Monday, Rutter’s President and NACS 2005-2006 Chairman Scott Hartman said, “We’re excited to return to Shippensburg and Cumberland County after a 17-year-absence. We’re proud once again to be part of the community and supporting worthwhile organizations such as these.”
Three organizations received $1,000 each from Rutter's: Shippensburg Area EMS, King’s Kettle Food Pantry and Vigilant Hose Company.
Rutter’s operates 51 convenience stores in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster and York counties.
