DALLAS – In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 7-Eleven is offering an exclusive CD compilation of well-known musicians.
The CD, "Songs of Hope," will feature songs by Olivia Newton-John, Carly Simon and Amy Holland, who all have survived breast cancer. For every CD sold, $1 will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity.
In addition, 7-Eleven will carry pink products from manufacturers that have made a commitment to make a donation breast cancer charities for every item sold. Items include, special edition TicTac mints, M&M candies and Frito-Lay Sun Chips.
"With one in eight women at risk of being diagnosed in their lifetime, the U.S. has the highest incidence rate of breast cancer in the world," said Nancy Lear, 7-Eleven community relations manager. "By raising awareness and funds for this cause, we can do our pat to support early detection, treatment programs, and research for a cure."
7-Eleven is partnering with YMCA on the CD, which will also include tracks from Kenny Loggins, Earth Wind & Fire, Lindsay Lohan, the Beach Boys and Courtney Now, to name a few.
