Canine Convenience Meals
October 17, 2007

MALIBU, Calif. – Now pet owners can grab a to-go meal made especially for their dogs. The new line of premium, American Kennel Club (AKC)-branded canine meals from JAKKS Pets contains natural ingredients and comes as a week’s supply of single serve portions.

The AKC Natural Pet Travel Convenience Meals combine wholesome, high quality ingredients with added vitamins, minerals, and other trace nutrients for a well-balanced diet. The meals target time-pressed pet owners who want the option of feeding their canines on the run.

“With the AKC Natural Pet Travel Convenience Meals, you get both convenience and quality,” Tony Lawlor, senior vice president of JAKKS Pet, said in a press release. “We have responded to pet owners who don’t always have the room to store 40-pound bags of food, or who want to take the guesswork out of measuring food for their dogs. We packed these AKC-branded meals with convenient features to make the lives of pet owners easier.”

“AKC Natural Pet Travel Convenience Meals are a new option for busy owners on the go with their pets,” said Gail Miller, AKC director of marketing. The dog convenience meals debuted at Petco this month and will be in major retailers, including Target, in November.
