SEATTLE – Amazon.com announced yesterday its new Automotive Parts and Accessories Store is now available to consumers, which features more than one million new, used and remanufactured auto parts.

According to a press release announcing the online retailer’s new venture, Amazon’s Automotive Store "Part Finder" feature allows car and truck consumers to search for parts and accessories that are compatible to about 10,000 different American vehicle makes and models.

The feature also “enables third-party data providers and retailers” to share part and vehicle information to help Amazon.com customers “make informed buying decisions.” The online store also stocks tires and wheels from its “Tire Rack” category.

“We’re providing a broad selection of products for auto enthusiasts, who are passionate about the appearance and performance of their cars, but also making the Automotive Store convenient for the everyday motorist who is looking for basic car care and maintenance items,” said Amazon.com Automotive Vice President Steve Frazier in the release. “Amazon’s core principles of selection, convenience and low prices will help us meet the needs of this growing segment in the online marketplace.”
